Happily ever after!!

When I was a little girl I used to wonder how it would be to live the grownup life... i could go where ever wenever i wanted ..a life of no restrictions...i didnt hav to ask neone b4 doing nething..one thing i really liked abt adult life is that u never had to study and there was no homework to complete...n if u wanted u cud play the whole day....in my tiny little mind it seemed to be an ideal world.....wen i used to see how awesome college life was on movies....no classes...chilling wid friends in canteen ..gng for trips ..singing songs....falling in love wid the perfect guy...n then get married ...live in a lovely log cottage by the stream n living HAPPILY EVERAFTER...I couldn’t wait to grow up....while studying how Prithviraj lost the battle of Panipat my mind would often drift away to my HAPPILY EVER AFTER dreams....n was brought back to reality by moms ticking offs....how much I hated my life..Especially my exams...I used to wonder when would a day come when I didn’t have to give exams anymore...lol!!! Little did I know that life itself is an exam...n those were preparin me for the days ahead...wen i was in high school...i so desparetely wanted to go to college...coz there u didnt hav to wear uniforms..u could bunk n didn’t have to do homework....man those home works how much they irritated me....finally the day had come when I was leaving home n going to college....boy I was happy...only after few days I realised that college is not all that fun...u cud bunk , u cud wear watever u wanted...there were no home works but there were submissions...deadlines...projects...deadly profs to deal wid...no moms to help u or do ur laundry and take care of u when u r sick.... neways optimist that im i began to dream of the day wen i would start working and meet my prince charmin and LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.....I finally started working ...another dream broke....ya i cud go my fav MC D netime n hav a burger or buy clothes without crying n begging in front of my parents but then here there was an exam everyday...had to finish a desktop [not desk] full of work everyday....here no excuses would be entertained if i didn’t finish my homework sorry work...i cudnt bunk nor did it get over at 3 o clock each day...umm!! well still i had my hopes that someday i would meet my prince charming and i’ll LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER... phew!!!! Wen i finally found my man......i realised that there was no HAPPILY EVER AFTER....every day is an exam which we have to give....be it in relationships...work ....or even fighting wid our customer care executives for adding unnecessary services widout even informing us....ya i hav the freedom from all those homeworks..moms nagging...n uniforms but i hav bigger responsibilities....lifes is not that bad but theres never a HAPPILY EVER AFTER...... :)

Yeh dooriyan

This song is very close to my heart

Yeh dooriyan
Yeh dooriyan
Yeh dooriyan

In raahon ki dooriyan
Nigahon ki dooriyan
Hum rahon ki dooriyan
Fanah ho sabhi dooriyan

Kyun koi paas hai
Door hai Kyun koi
Jaane Na koi yahan pe

Aa Raha paas ya door mein ja raha
Janu na mein hoon kahan pe

Yeh dooriyan

In raahon ki dooriyan
Nigahon ki dooriyan
Hum rahon ki dooriyan
Fanah ho sabhi dooriyan

Yeh dooriyan
Yeh dooriyan

Kabhi hua yeh bhi
Khali Rahon pe bhi
Tu tha mere saath

Kabhi tujhe milke lauta
mera dil yeh khali khali haath
Yeh bhi hua kabhi
Jaise hua Aabhi
Tujhko sabhi mein paa liya

Tera mujhe kar jaati hai dooriyan
Satati hain dooriyan
Tarsati hain dooriyan
Fanah ho sabhi dooriyan

Kaha bhi na maine
Nahi jeena maine
Tu jo na mila

Tujhe bhule se bhi
Bola na main ye bhi chahun fasla

Bas fasla rahe
Ban ke kasak jo kahen
Ho aur chahat yeh jawan
Teri meri mit jaani hai dooriyan
Begani hai dooriyan

Hat jani hai dooriyan
Fanah ho sabhi dooriyan

Kyun koi paas hai
Door hai Kyun koi
Jaane Na koi yahan pe

Aa Raha paas ya door mein ja raha
Janu na mein hoon kahan pe

Yeh dooriyan

In raahon ki dooriyan
Nigahon ki dooriyan
Hum rahon ki dooriyan
Fanah ho sabhi dooriyan

‘love is all around us’….quote of a famous movie says… we always talk about how the world is changing…how people r becoming meaner ..how consumerism is engulfing us…true love doesn’t exist and it is replaced by lust..marriage has lost its sanctity…the x,y,z generations say that its better to be single or at the max go for live-in…no commitments ..no marriage…no responsibilities….so on and so forth…

Wait a minute…. If it is so then why do I see people falling in love…why do I still see lovers doing crazy things for each other… why do I see people travelling half way across the globe to be with their loved ones…why do most people join social networking site in hope to find someone special…. Why do people still love the love ballads … why do we still love to see some romantic movie ….

Behind the façade of cosumerism..meanest..lust….there is still a innocent soul in all of us who needs to be loved n give love in its purest form….

y????

tomorrow is independence day, one of the occassions when u feel patriotic and be proud of being indians instead of feelin the same 365 days.....we hav a great heritage and have history which dates back to thousands of years... we have produced great thinkers, artists, scientists..... we have made ourselves proud globally.... but what irks me is after accomplishing so much y are we still so underconfident.... y do always have to look up to the west for appreciation...y arent we confident to have our own dreams... im not a software proffesional...but as a layman i feel confused that even though we hav some of the brightest engineers ...n satistics show that more than half the engineers in the silicon valley are indians [ we indeed feel proud of it] we still depend on the west for outsourcing work.... [i dont want to hurt the sentiments of all the software proffesionals reading this] ... but i want to ask y cant we hav the balls to come up with something like windows...photoshop.. google here...well the same is the case in every field... i myself belong the animation n visual effects industry.... we are so proud to to win oscars for chronicles of narnia [which was outsourced to rhythm & hues, mumbai] but we havent yet made a proper indian animated movie for our children except a few lousy ones here and there.... the excuse is always that we dont have enough budget.... huh! but there are some despicable popular movie wherein crores were spend on a single song... how many of us celebrate bengali...punjabi or marathi new year wid the same zeal as 31st december..... or jamasthami wid the same enthu as we celebrate christmas....we hardly wish neone.... indian festival for us is just an excuse for buying new clothes....gng to some fancy restaurants or pubs.... how many of us celebrate it wid the true essence of being wid our loved ones ..sharing joy and happiness... y r we so bad at taking risk....y do we go after jobs for only the sake of earning money and not personal satisfaction.... we complain about our jobs everyday yet go bak to it the next day widout trying something that we want....we r too scared to lose the security ...the weekend parties...the trip to the malls.. that we keep doing the same old stuffs like robots.... we complain abt out cities not being clean...how many times have we resisted throwing the chips packet or cigg bud on the road....how many times have we helped someone needy...or how many times have we stood up for the cause...be it some terror attacks or reservation other than join some anti terror or anti reservation group in orkut or facebook..... how many times hav we made the attempt to educate a little boy delivering us chais...... how many times have we made a friend widout thinking which state or religion he belongs too....everyone reading this is above 18 but how many has seen the insides of the polling booth....how many of us fought against some injustice or malpractice.....wen the stalls in malls ask more than mrp for a mineral water bottle we dont even bother....we always blame the govt abt imcompetance but are we good citizens ourselves.....how many of choose a ngo..defence job over plush mba and IT jobs...... i remember wen i was a kid in school we had to wear clothes of different cultures n sing patriotic songs.... now its just another holiday wid an exception of buying a plastic or paper tricolor at the signal..... we dont even make an effort to wake up early n put up a tricolor in each of our houses.... well some these days dont even get a holiday... there r a lot of people who hav dont a lot n still doing .... im not pointing out neone wid watever i hav written.... im also included amongst the lot..... but as i think of our 62nd INDEPENDENCE DAY this thoughts come to my mind....... Happy Independence Day friends! JAI HIND

You are in ur mid 20s ,more or less you have reached somewhere in your life...You have the money to buy branded stuffs, eat more often at ur favourite restaurants and afford a decent holiday to places you always wanted to go. You are happy. After a year or two of this bliss you reach a point where your life is reduced to sedentary drudgery of staring at the same old screens, a movie or two on the weekends followed by beer sessions with friends. Getting drunk whining over your ex love or the love you could have had or complaints about your present love n work. Everything seems stagnant not move newhere. And to add to your woes one fine day you realise your favourite old pair of jeans doesnt fit you nemore and you have started getting tired after climbing two floors to your apartment. You decide no more takeaway parcels, less beer and jogging in the morning. Well the next weekend comes and you procastinate. You keep procastinating until your favourite stores sizes S and M doesnt fit you nemore. Then without wasting time you join the interesting place called GYM. This is an interesting place. They charge u a bomb for hardwork and promise you ll get a model like figure/physique. You get tempted and start daydreaming about all the hot hunks/babes you can date. Feeling happy you dont mind burning a whole in your pocket even the extra charges for locker, steam, massage ,etc. A stern looking instructor [ could have easily been a nazi ss guard] takes your weight and you feel so quilty standing on that weighing machine. Next you are handed a chart of all the exercises you hav to do and what you shudnt eat.Now u enter the shrine. You see people of all sizes and shapes working their asses off. There are different categories. The hunks/babes,they are, really serious about their workouts, are drop dead gorgeous and have an attitude to go with that. They are self obssessed , dont usually interact with others and mingle around their own species. Then you find the wannabes. This is an interesting species. They look good but somehow dont have the attitude to match. They want to get into the hunk/babes species but cant. You dont see them working out much. They either keep checking their body on the numerous mirrors or try to impress the opposite sex. Then you find the huge aunties. They can barely manage to walk on the treadmill and discuss the latest saas-bahu saga. The gym is a place for mini kitty party. Then there are the super thin people trying to gain weight, super fat ones. What an amalgam. The first few days are really painful. All those situps, bench presses and cardios. You curse your instructor with every set. After few weeks you actually feel good and confident. But the weekends come you hav your bowl of deep fried KFC wash it down with a pint. Get drunk and say 'screw you gym and u @#^$@$$ instructor I love my life the way it is.....cheers!!
